I am posting special photos from the Dolores Olmedo museum.. a special exhibition from the
Musée de l´Orangerie. Unfortunately it was not permited to photograph the magnificent painting collection, but, I am posting some very interesting photos of the "Ofrenda de Muertos" ; the traditional offering to the death celebrated in Mexico and in many other countries in November. I am sure you will recognize some very important painters.... represented in paper "claveritas" ...

It all starts at entering.. the first thing you see, is an incredible large garden. They maguey plants are enourmous, 2 mts. give or take....
Of course, there is a shop...
and the main entrance to the "Dia de muertos" (Day of the death) exhibition... lLike the entrance to the "Metro..."

This is a painting by Henri Rousseau, also known as the "Aduanero Rousseau" because he used to work in customs collecting taxes. the painting is called "Carriole du Pére Junier" the carriage of Father Junier.
Here explains the purpose of the death offering, from the City of light, (Paris); to the Mictlán. Mictlán is Nahuatl language for "the place of the dead"

These dogs are called "Xoloitzcuintlle"... can you guess which one is real and which one is the representation???

All these videos and photos were taken at Los Cabos. Those of the boat come from the day trip you can take by boat to the famous Arch. Where the Gulf of Cortés and the Pacific Ocean meet. It is a lovely trip by boat, also, Disney's cruise was docked at the marina and we caught it just as it was leaving to Los Angeles.
